We loved our stay at Shangri-La. House is perfect for a family reunion. Very spacious central living area. Lots of stuff for the kids to do. Nice assortment of boogie boards, floaties, beach chairs and beach toys. The kids loved playing ping pong and foosball at night. Also loved the full size pool. Lastly, they got a kick out of watching all of the turtles in the pond down the street.

The beach access is 30 yards down a quiet street in a gated community. Ocean views from the balcony off of the family room. There is a place right at the end of the walkway if you want to rent surfboards, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, etc. which was also very convenient.

The house itself was very clean and well maintained.

I look forward to staying here again sometime.

Nicola's place was absolutely unbelievable! It was so easy for our whole family to walk to the beach and the kids loved the private pool too. The kitchen was perfect for big family meals! We couldn't say more positive things and definitely want to come back with our families again!

This house has it all! The location is amazing! The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked. 2 dishwashers and plenty of silverware, dishes etc. the pool was amazing and by far one of the nicest perks. Every bedroom has its own bathroom as well as a half bath by the kitchen/living area. The house is very close to the beach and is stocked with plenty of pool/beach toys and chairs. There are at least 4 boogie boards, spike ball, beach chairs and blow up floats for the pool. Nicola was a breeze to communicate with and was always very friendly and prompt with responding to any questions we had. I would absolutely recommend this beautiful house for a vacation!

Great getaway for a week. We had a blast staying here and will definitely be looking to rent again in the future. She responds in a timely manner and is very helpful throughout the entire process.

Beautiful and amazing home! Our group of friends truly enjoyed our week long stay. The house in an incredible location -so close to the ocean and shops -and completely refinished from top to bottom. The kitchen was completely stocked and they even had pool toys, boogie boards and beach chairs available.
Highly recommend you stay here, you won’t regret it!

This house is amazing!! If you are planning to book with family or friends this house is for you!! Location is amazing!! Right near the beach and near the super market and restaurants close by! Very convenient location! Nicola is an amazing host! She answered any and all questions very quickly! If you’re looking for a great place to book in Corolla this house and host is it!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Nicola's house in Corolla. The inside is as beautiful as the online pictures and the location was perfect. Beach access was a few houses away and the sunrises are picture perfect from the upstairs living room and deck.

“Shangri La is absolutely beautiful. It is located in a premium spot in Corolla. The pictures do not do this house justice ! The location is much closer to the ocean than the photos reveal, with the ocean located directly across the street only separated by a dune in the gorgeous community of Buck Island <which also has a community pool, playground, tennis /basketball courts etc ) This house is possibly the most well equipped house we have ever rented (and we travel often !) . Anything imaginable was provided , from kitchenware , two sets of washer and dryers , two dishwashers , two refrigerators, beach chairs/toys/cooler, full size crib/pack n play , air mattress ...and much more than I can even name ! There is also much more sleeping space than it appears ...the couch in the bottom level (TV room ) folds out into a futon style bed. Also there is a huge gameroom in the garage that consist of foosball and ping pong . There is a very nice office loft that is quiet and perfect for work or just relaxing. Everything in the house is spotlessly clean and recently updated. The pool area is huge , and the jacuzzi is in a great location on the second floor deck. It is a very short walk to beach access (although you can see the ocean directly across the street , gorgeous view .) Nicola provided sheets for the stay , and her communication was impeccable. She always responded immediately to any request I made , and was extremely accomodating She went above and beyond to make sure our vacation was wonderful. Every person in our party was extremely impressed by how nice the house was , and well equipped. There was not a single complaint! The area is unbelievably beautiful as well, with activities and scenery for both children , teenagers , and adults. The Currituck Lighthouse and Historic Whalehead are a couple of miles away, and definitely worth visiting.”

This house is a great spot for a group trip to the Outer Banks. It's right off the beach, and has plenty of space for sleeping (13 bed spots plus a futon, air mattress, and couch). The main living area is spacious and great for group meals and activities. The hot tub and pool are great, and there's ping pong and foosball in the basement. It's a ten minute walk to the grocery store and various restaurants and shops. All in all, a pretty ideal spot! Nicola was a great host as well. She was helpful and accommodating, and the communication was prompt and easy (as was check in and check out). We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone!
